Doug Hinman is the "Service above Self Award"
winner for the 2007-2008 club year. Doug and his
wife Jackie operate The Shepard’s Inn and The
Shepard’s Shop in South Hill. It is a Christian
entity that operates on donations and sales from the

has completed the first of several projects for this

first part of our Dictionary Project is completed as
all students grades 3-5 received their personal
dictionaries and each pre-k-2 class received 2 Picture

speaker presenting the new Celebrate South Hill DVD

Nanney of the South Hill Rotary Club presented its
annual Service Above Self Award for 2008-2009 to Mrs.
Lou Saunders, wife of long time Rotarian Dr. Tom
Saunders. Mrs. Saunders was one of the founding
members of the CMH Auxiliary, organization in which

Herbert Farrar selected Randy for his outstanding
service to the club and always being first to arrive

Herbert Farrar completed his 2008-2009 year as South
Hill Rotary Club President. Herbert
gave a wrap up club activities for the year. Public
Relations Director Lisa Clary brought a storyboard of
photos of the numerous activities in which the club
participated during President Herbert’s year.
